After arriving at Atocha station, we will start a circular route through Madrid moving by metro as locals. We will visit the imposing Royal Palace, former residence of the kings, and the Almudena Cathedral, completed in 1993. We will tour the Madrid de los Austrias, with the Plaza de la Villa and the Casa de Cisneros, before lunch at the Mercado de San Miguel, perfect for tasting tapas and Spanish cuisine. We will continue on foot to Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol, the epicenter of the city.
