You will drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you will enjoy the game drive en route. Arrival at Serengeti National Park is in the early afternoon - and you will do a game drive until sunset. Serengeti offers one of the most amazing game viewing in Africa: great herds of buffalo and wildebeests, groups of elephant and giraffes, eland, impala and Grant’s gazelle, Lions, leopards and others, can be seen very often. Dinner at Serengeti seronera public camp site.
Day 2: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Serengeti National Park
Pass by
The whole day will be spent on a game drive in the central Serengeti National Park. The areas you will visit depend upon the location of the herds. During the short rainy season in November and December the herds move from the hills in the north to the plains in the south while during the longer rainy season from April to June they return back up north. This circle of life is determined by the rainfalls and locations of the herds might vary from year to year but your guide will know where to find the animals and where to see them best. A visit to the Serengeti Visitor Centre is also possible. Here you can learn more about the history of the park and the research that is being done by the Frankfurter Zoological Society. You will spend at Serengeti seronera public camp site.
Day 3: SERENGETI-Ngorongoro crater/Arusha
Arusha
Pass by
After breakfast, you'll depart for Ngorongoro Crater; considered by some to be the Eighth Wonder of the World. When you get your first glimpse of this vast, verdant caldera from the panoramic viewpoint, you'll soon understand why it has earned such a lofty reputation. Home to over 120 species of mammal including the fabled Big Five, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is one of the most sought after safari destinations in the world. It's a particularly good place to see the endangered black rhinoceros enjoying a lonely meal out on the grass plains, as well as a place to see large numbers of hippopotamus enjoying the cool water. From the comfort of your open-top vehicle, you'll be able to observe and photograph some of Africa's most recognizable faces. The crater is home to a large number of predators including lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas. Later heading to Arusha for overnight or continue to airport for your flight to next destination.
