Start your day with a walk from the mountain village of Menetes where you get a fantastic panoramic view. Menetes spreads in all its splendor with its colorful houses and streets and you can explore those cozy streets. Get to know the spirit of the mountain village where the first settlements came as early as the Middle Ages when pirates ruled the Aegean Sea.
Explore the lush green area of Kouri and visit a small chapel on your way downhill to Pigadia towards the end of this walk.

What to expect
Menetes

Start at the mountain village of Menetes where we take you directly to the village’s largest church which offers a fantastic panoramic view. You can take the local bus to get to Menetes or let a taxi drop you off. From here we can see Pigadia but don’t forget to look the other way where Menetes spreads in all its splendor with its colorful houses and streets.
We leave the church and stop for a cup of coffee at a local taverna. Have a coffee if you want or just enjoy the atmosphere of this hidden little gem in one of the many streets of Menetes. Get to know the spirit of the mountain village where the first settlements came as early as the Middle Ages when pirates ruled the Aegean Sea. We explore the streets a bit more before a small visit to the local bakery awaits (if it is open). The best bakery in Karpathos if you ask us!

We meet in Pigadia at AutoTour, in front of Hotel Miramare to start our transfer up to Menetes. The guide wears an Art and Walk shirt.
