Located in the centre of Sainte-Mere-Eglise and only a few kilometers from Utah Beach and the landing beaches, the Airborn Museum facing the bell tower on which paratrooper John Steele was suspended on the D-Day.
Since May 2024 and the unveiling of the 5th building, the Airborne Museum is now one of the biggest D-Day museum of Normandy and of Europe.
Through spectacular museography, the Airborne Museum will make you live the D-Day alongside the American paratroopers of the 82nd and 101st Airborne. Discover an exceptional collection of historical artifacts, an authentic glider and a C-47 aircraft that participated in the D-Day operations.

In the building "Operation Neptune", prepare to live the parachuting of June 6, 1944! Embark at night in a real C-47 plane in England, then land on the square of Sainte-Mère-Église in the middle of the fighting and take part in the battles that followed. A 20-minute film emotionally recounts life under German occupation and the liberation of Sainte-Mère-Église and the Cotentin region.

Thanks to Augmented Reality, interactivity, and hyper-realistic graphics of the Histopad tablet, you'll be transported to the heart of Normandy in 1944 and experience the highlights of D-Day. Immersion guaranteed!
