It is now one of the seven wonders of the world and is also recognized as one of the world heritage sites.

    Agra Fort is one of India's finest Mughal monuments, built mainly by Emperor Akbar in the 16th century and later expanded and transformed by Shah Jahan.     Itimad-ud-Daulah's Tomb is a beautiful Mughal monument on the banks of the Yamuna River in Agra. Built between 1622 and 1628 by Empress Nur Jahan in memory of her father, Mirza Ghiyas Beg, it is often called the "Baby Taj." The monument is famous for its delicate white marble, intricate pietra dura inlay, fine lattice screens and elegant floral designs. Unlike the massive red-sandstone monuments of earlier Mughal architecture, Itimad-ud-Daulah represents an important transition toward the refined marble style later perfected in the Taj Mahal. Its peaceful gardens and detailed craftsmanship make it an important part of Agra's Mughal heritage
