Visit Provesende, one of the Douro Valley’s most distinctive wine villages. Enjoy a gentle walk through the village, passing manor houses, the parish church, the historic pillory and traditional streets that reveal a quieter and more authentic side of the region.
When possible, the route may also include a stop or passage by a traditional bakery where bread is still baked in a wood-fired oven.
Casal de Loivos

Stop at one of the Douro Valley’s most famous viewpoints. From Casal de Loivos, admire sweeping views over the terraced vineyards, the Douro River and the surrounding hills — one of the most memorable photo moments of the day.
Pinhao

Ponte Pedonal Metalica de Peso da Regua

The metal bridge was built in 1872 by King D. Luís I for road crossing of the Douro River and was deactivated since 1949 due to the state of degradation of the wooden board.
The initial project belongs to engineer W. Liebe, and was later changed by engineer Johann Gaspar Harkort and the construction work was under the guidance of German engineer Wilherm Dulhener from the Eifel team.

Pass by
Considered the capital of the Douro wine region and is an important hub for the wine industry. The town is home to the Douro Museum, which showcases the history and culture of the region and includes exhibits on the production and marketing of Port wine.
