What to expect

  1. Nazare
    3h
Discover the world-famous fishing village of Nazaré, globally renowned for hosting the largest surfable waves on earth. We’ll take you straight to Praia do Norte, the exact arena where professional big-wave surfers shatter world records. Look out over the deep Nazaré Canyon and stand atop the dramatic cliffs to feel the sheer energy of the Atlantic Ocean. Afterward, enjoy free time to stroll the vibrant beachfront promenade, watch the local fish-drying traditions right on the sand, and enjoy an authentic seafood lunch at a traditional oceanfront restaurant.
  2. Praia do Norte
    30m
Stand atop the dramatic cliffs overlooking Praia do Norte, the world-famous coastal arena where elite surfers ride the largest waves on earth. This quick, breathtaking sightseeing stop is all about witnessing the raw power of the Atlantic Ocean and the unique geometry of the Nazaré Canyon. Rather than a traditional swimming beach day, this is a spectacular photo opportunity to marvel at nature's scale from a safe, panoramic vantage point. Feel the ocean breeze, capture incredible coastal views, and learn the science behind these record-breaking swells before we head down into the historic village center.
  3. Farol de Nazare
40m · Admission ticket not included
Walk up to the iconic red-domed Nazaré Lighthouse, safely perched inside the 16th-century Fort of São Miguel Arcanjo. This historic stronghold once defended the coast against pirates, but today it serves as a global surfing museum and the ultimate panoramic viewpoint. Take in the breathtaking contrast between the wild, untamed swells of the north beach and the calm, golden crescent of Nazaré’s main town beach to the south.
  4. Obidos
    3h
Journey inland to the enchanting, fully walled town of Óbidos, famously gifted by Portuguese kings to their queens. Enter through the majestic city gates and lose yourself in a labyrinth of pristine whitewashed houses draped in vibrant bougainvillea. Walk the historic cobblestone lanes, browse artisan handicraft shops, and immerse yourself in real medieval history. Before leaving, we’ll stop to taste the legendary Ginjinha, a delicious local cherry liqueur served in an edible chocolate cup.
  5. Castelo de Obidos
30m · Admission ticket not included
Marvel at the imposing Castelo de Óbidos, officially named one of the "Seven Wonders of Portugal." Originally built as a Roman stronghold and later refined by the Moors, this masterfully preserved 12th-century limestone citadel dominates the Silver Coast skyline. Walk along parts of the ancient curtain walls, take in commanding views over the surrounding vineyards, and capture incredible photos of a living medieval fortress.
