Nestled in the heart of the Andes, this sanctuary boasts a remarkable diversity of birdlife, waiting to be discovered. Your expert guide will lead you on a captivating exploration of the sanctuary's diverse habitats. Keep your eyes peeled for a kaleidoscope of forest and mountain birds flitting through the canopy. Be on the lookout for dazzling species like the Toucan Barbet with its vibrant beak, the shy Thrush Nightingale with its melodic song, or the elusive Multicolored Tanager.

Day 3: Birding Safari To The Yellow-Eared Parrot’s Sanctuary

Day 4: STA. Rita Home of Endemic Birds

   Wake up to a taste of Colombia with a traditional breakfast, then set off to explore the wonders of Santa Rita Nature Reserve.

   Explore the Santa Rita nature reserve, nestled near Salento, a haven for endemic bird species. Seek out the elusive Crested Ant-Tanager, Multicolored Tanager, Grayish Piculet, and Parker's Antshrike. Keep an eye out for the Andean Cock-of-the-Rock, a vibrant bird known for its unique nesting behavior twice a year. This former cattle ranch is now transitioning into a thriving nature reserve. Santa Rita also boasts multiple rivers and waterfalls, creating an aquatic haven where you might spot the Torrent Duck, White-capped Dipper, Cormorants, and Torrent Tyrannulets.
