In 2004, to revive an ancient wine-growing tradition, the S. Francesco a Tramonti farm was born, the green heart of the Amalfi Coast.
The farm covers about eight and a half hectares and produces wines from the grapes of three historic local families: the Bove, the D'Avino, the Giordano.
The modern high-tech equipment of the cellar was completed by the beginning of 2005. It is set in the ancient estate belonging to the Di Palma family, the current producers, who made use of the professional and expert advice of Dr. Carmine Valentino from Avellino .
The Tasting begins at 11:30 with a visit to the historic pre-philloxera vineyards (300-500 years) and continues in the historic 18th century Masseria where the 17th century cellar is located, with TASTING of 3 D.O.C wines - Amalfi Coast - Tramonti paired with "panzanella" (bread salad made with "biscottato bread" - bread with double wholemeal flour -, fresh tomatoes and basil) accompanied by fresh mozzarella and ricotta, seasoned cheeses and cured meats.
