Overview

Come and discover the first civilization of Europe!

Could people build aqueducts, write in two scripts that still remain a mystery, decorate their homes with frescoes, construct five-story palaces, and navigate the seas 5,000 years ago? Was the Minotaur a real creature and does the labyrinth still exist? If you want to find out the answer to the above questions and even more, then you have to acquaint yourself with the Minoans and their fascinating myths.

Visit the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion, one of the oldest and most remarkable museums in Greece. Discover the famous palace of King Minos. Conclude your tour with the renowned Cretan wines at one of the finest wineries in Crete and Greece.

*Travel time from the Chania region is 2 hours, from the Rethymno region 1 hour.
