Bear sightings are most common between May and September along roads, streets, and hiking trails. Starting in October, as mountain temperatures drop below 0°C (during the night), bears enter their dens for hibernation, so encounters on the streets stop. Therefore, bears can only be seen during the warm season
In Romania, eating in the van is generally considered a sign of disrespect and can even be seen as offensive. We highly appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping the car clean. Please feel free to enjoy your food or snacks entirely outside the vehicle during stops.
