Known as "the Borghetto": a charming medieval village, dating back to the 9th century a.D, with its perfectly preserved 15th century "Giulio II castle", built on a Michelangelo design, to help the papal state control the trading on the river Tevere and defend the farmers from the raids by the Saracens.
