Soak up its spellbinding history, pose like a wizard, and channel your inner Gryffindor (or Slytherin, we don’t judge). And if you’re more into period drama than magic wands, you’ll be chuffed to know this grand fortress also starred in Downton Abbey.

We head south through the border to Bamburgh, home to the mighty Bamburgh castle which overlooks the beautiful beach. Learn about the 5th century Kings of Northumbria, and enjoy some fresh air before continuing your adventure.

It is recommended to book transport to the departure point in advance. Please also allow extra time to get to the departure point for check-in.
