Punakha Dzong, known as the "palace of great happiness," stands majestically at the junction of the Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers, serving as a significant administrative center and winter residence for the Chief Abbot. Chimi Lhakhang, nestled among rice fields, is a pilgrimage site for childless couples seeking blessings, associated with the Divine Madman, Drukpa Kunley, renowned for his unorthodox methods of enlightenment.
