The most memorable part of this cooking class was not just learning how to cook Vietnamese dishes, but being welcomed into a local family’s home in the peaceful countryside of Hoi An. From picking fresh herbs in the garden to sharing stories around the kitchen, every moment felt genuine and personal. The family treated us like old friends rather than tourists, creating a warm atmosphere filled with laughter and cultural exchange. Cooking traditional recipes together and then enjoying the meal at the family table gave us a rare glimpse into everyday Vietnamese life. It was an authentic experience that touched our hearts and remains one of our favorite memories of Vietnam.
