Overview

This is a self-guided walking game built around Rovinj's most photogenic corners: a circular route that connects the town's key landmarks and best photo spots, with a puzzle to solve at each one. The puzzles lean on logic and creativity rather than math, and every solved clue unlocks the story behind the place you're photographing. Unlike a classic tour, you set the pace: play anytime, at any hour, and pause and resume whenever you want (even on another day).

We offer 24/7 customer support and built-in hints to guarantee that you never stay stuck. The app also shares real historical facts and local stories about every landmark, so you leave understanding the town, not just having seen it.

The game takes about 90-120 minutes with optional breaks, over a route of about 2 km (1.25 miles) through the old town.

It has intermediate difficulty and it's perfect for solo adventurers, couples, friends, families with older kids, or team-building events.

What to expect

  1. Rovinj
    5m
This is where the game takes place - the beautiful town of Rovinj, Istria.
  2. 7m
This is where the game starts - the St Euphemia church. You will get your first directions and solve the first puzzle, which will unlock the historical facts about the Church of St. Euphemia, dedicated to a young Christian woman from Chalcedon, an ancient city in what is today Istanbul, Turkey.
  3. Grad Rovinj
    5m
This is the 2nd location that you will visit. You will inspect the architectural details on the facade of the Rovinj Town Hall and learn about its roots that go back to the medieval Praetorian Palace, with foundations linked to 1308.
  4. Balbi Arch
    5m
This is the 3rd location you'll be visiting. You will solve a challenge and learn about Balbi’s Arch, which was built in 1679 on the site of an older medieval town gate and takes its name from Daniel Balbi, who was the town’s leader at the time.
  5. Trg Marsala Tita
    6m
This is the 4th location of the game and will have you inspect the fountain to solve a challenge. Once you solve it, you will learn about the Marshal Tito Square (Trg maršala Tita), which is named after Josip Broz Tito (1892–1980), who led the Yugoslav Partisan resistance.

You can also have a break here and sip some fresh water from the fountain.
  6. Casa Della Batana
    7m
This is the 5th location of the game. You will solve a challenge by inspecting an embedded wind rose navigator in the ground and learn about one of the strongest symbols of maritime tradition in Croatia - the batana, Rovinj’s characteristic flat-bottomed wooden fishing boat.
  7. Port of Rovinj
    5m
This is part of the 5th challenge of the game. You will admire the views from the Rovinj Port.
  8. 6m
This is the 6th location of the game. You will inspect the Pond Square (Trg na Lokvi) to solve a challenge and learn about the memorial to Croatian defenders who died in the Croatian War of Independence (1991–1995), known in Croatia as the Homeland War (Domovinski rat).
  9. 7m
This is the 7th location of the game where you learn about the Church of the Most Holy Trinity, which is one of the town's most unusual small churches. Dating from the 12th or 13th century, it is considered Rovinj's best-preserved Romanesque building.
  10. 5m
This is the 8th location of the game, where you will learn about Carera – Rovinj’s Main Street. Its name comes from the Italian “strada dei carri” – the road used by horse-drawn wagons travelling between Rovinj and the fields outside the town. But there's an even more fun fact behind this street that you'll only learn while playing.
  11. Trg Valdibora
    8m
This is the place where the game ends. You will solve your last challenge and learn about the Valdibora Green Market and about how Rovinj was once an island!
