Day 2: Nazare - Fatima - Obidos
Nazare

Nazaré is a village with a strong fishing tradition, home to one of the most typical beaches in the central region of the country. The village we know today has only existed since the 18th century, as until that time, the entire lower part of the village was covered by the sea that reached it. Only the site remained, where today you can enjoy a magnificent view of the beach. And what to visit in Nazaré?
All fishing villages have Marian devotion, and Nazaré is no exception. From its religious monuments to its promenade, we invite you to enjoy one of the most typical beaches in central Portugal and its charms, breathing in the sea air.
Fatima
2h
Fátima is a city in central Portugal that is home to the Sanctuary of Fátima, a Catholic pilgrimage site. The Chapel of Apparitions marks the spot where the Virgin Mary allegedly appeared in 1917. Other sacred sites include the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, with its golden angels, and the modern Church of the Holy Trinity. The Museum of Sacred Art and Ethnology displays religious artifacts.
Obidos Village
2h
The medieval town of Óbidos is one of the most characteristic and well-preserved in Portugal.
Óbidos, situated on a high point near the Atlantic coast, held strategic importance within the region. Already occupied before the Romans arrived in the Iberian Peninsula, the town became more prosperous after being chosen by the royal family. Since King Dinis offered it to his wife, Queen Isabella, in the 13th century, it belonged to the House of Queens, who, over the course of various dynasties, continually benefited and enriched it. This is one of the main reasons why so many churches can be found in this small town.
