Overview
Journey through Cambodia’s historical evolution on a private 1-day expedition from Siem Reap. This itinerary bridges the gap between pre-Angkorian brick temples, ancient royal engineering, and vibrant floating lake communities—offering an immersive cultural experience away from the heavy tour-bus crowds.
Why book this experience:
• UNESCO-Listed Sambor Prei Kuk: Explore the 7th-century capital of Isanapura, famous for its distinct octagonal brick sanctuaries nestled under dense forest canopies.
• Historic Spean Praptos Bridge: Stop at the majestic 12th-century sandstone arch bridge in Kampong Kdei, built during the reign of King Jayavarman VII along the ancient royal highway.
• Authentic Kompong Khleang Stilted Village: Discover a non-touristy community on Tonle Sap Lake. Marvel at houses perched up to 10 meters on wooden stilts during the dry season, or cruise through flooded streets during the monsoon.
