Overview

Mai Chau, located at about 160 km from Hanoi, is a rural district of Hoa Binh Province in the Northwest region of Vietnam. This 2-day classic group tour offers tourists the chance to visit the best of Mai Chau with many exciting activities such as biking to villages to see the rice fields, weaving scarves and having special time to watch traditional music show and taste local wine. What to expect

Day 1: HANOI - MAI CHAU VALLEY (L/D) 160km
  1. Old Quarter

    7:30-8:00 AM : Pickup at your hotel in the Old Quarter in our comfortable van
    10:00 AM : Short break
    ( It about 4 hours driving from Hanoi to Mai Chau )
  2. Mai Chau

    11:30-12:00 – Scenic photo stop of Mai Chau valley/arrive in Mai Chau
    12:15 – Traditional lunch in local village (vegetarian available)
    14:30 -17:00 – Bicycle ride with local tour guide, see farmers working in fields, locals weaving scarves and visit surrounding peaceful villages.
    17:00-19:00 – Free time for bicycling, walking, shopping
    19:00 – Enjoy the Dinner
    20:00 – Watch Thai Traditional Dance in the stilt house
    Enjoy Tradidional alcohol (ruou can) with the community

Day 2: MAI CHAU – HA NOI (B,L) 160km
  1. Mai Chau

    07:30 –Breakfast time
    08:30 – Go with a local Thai tour guide, we will cycling for 2km before start the trek to visit more remote rural villages: Na Meo, Na Mo and Xam Pa villages to see the rice terraces and understand more about their culture and customs
    12:00 – Back to the homestay, check-out and go for lunch
    13:00– Free time for shopping and relaxing.
    15:30 – Get on the van/bus to drive back to Hanoi.

    19:00 – Arrive in Hanoi Old quater. Drop you off at your hotel. Tour end.
